• Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band is back at the Domino Room (51 N.W. Greenwood Ave., Bend) on Tuesday. The rural Indiana trio makes a heck of a racket using only drums, acoustic guitar, the Reverend’s perfect backwoods drawl and a washboard. So grab your laundry and head on down for some fine hillbilly blues. Pater Familias will open. The show starts around 9 p.m., doors open at 8 p.m., and it’s $12 to get in.
• The annual Show Us Your Spokes concert series at Parrilla Grill (635 N.W. 14th St., Bend) started up again last week with a show by The JZ Band. Who knew? Not me, because no one told me. Anyway, tonight’s show will feature friendly local jam-banders The Mostest , who make ideal music for a warm July evening concert under the open sky. They’ll get going around 7 p.m., and it’s $3 to get in if you walk, bike or carpool, and $5 if you’re a slacker.
• Dance-worthy music alert! Dubious Ranger is a San Francisco-based band that makes potent, pulsing rock ‘n’ roll that’s heavily influenced by David Bowie and perfect for an all-night boogiethon. This band’s stuff carefully walks the line between super-fun and too goofy. Check it out at www .dubiousranger.com, then strap on your dancing feet and see them live at Silver Moon Brewing & Taproom (24 N.W. Greenwood Ave., Bend) on Tuesday night. The show starts around 9 p.m., and cover is $5.
