Central Oregon gets more than its fair share of performances by progressive bluegrass bands with jam tendencies, so it’s kind of nice when one comes through that hasn’t already played in town a dozen times.
On Sunday, Head for the Hills will make up for lost time, playing two shows in a few hours, one for the free/outdoor/sunshine/family types, and one for the cover/indoor/bar lights/21+ crowd.
So, something for everyone! Which is good, because these four young Coloradans play music that is rooted in traditional bluegrass, but decorated with a melodic, modern vibe that’s sure to hold appeal for the non-hardcore bluegrassers out there.
Their sound really is endearing, so head over to www .headforthehillsmusic.com to learn more and soak up some of the acoustic goodness.
