Reservoirs
1. LAKE BILLY CHINOOK: From Bend, drive north on Highway 97 through Redmond and Terrebonne. Take the left turn to Culver, about 10 miles south of Madras, and follow the Cove State Park/Tour Route signs about 8 miles to the lake.
2. CRANE PRAIRIE RESERVOIR: From Bend, go south on Highway 97, turning west at the Sunriver exit. Continue west about 22 miles to the junction of Forest Route 4270; turn left and follow signs to Crane Prairie Resort.
3. HAYSTACK RESERVOIR: Located 7 miles south of Madras and about 2 miles east of Highway 97.
4. PRINEVILLE RESERVOIR: From Bend, take Highway 20 east toward Millican. Take a left at the Highway 27 junction and follow to the reservoir.
5. OCHOCO RESERVOIR: Located 6 miles east of Prineville on Highway 26.
6. WICKIUP RESERVOIR: From Bend, drive south on Highway 97 until you reach County Road 42, at which time you’ll drive west. Six miles after the junction of roads 42 and 43, turn toward Twin Lakes Resort and Wickiup Reservoir on Forest Route 4260.
Streams
1. CROOKED RIVER: The easiest routes to the river include taking Highway 27 south from Prineville and along the Post-Paulina Highway east of Prineville.
2. DESCHUTES RIVER: At 252 miles long, there are some 10 different stretches to recreate on. Visit a local recreation/fishing outlet to inquire about seasonal offerings.
3. FALL RIVER: Take the Fall River exit located 18 miles south of Bend on Highway 97. Follow signs to South Century Drive and County/Forest Route 42.
4. METOLIUS RIVER: Take Highway 20 west through Sisters. Follow the highway for 10 miles, then turn right onto County Route 14. Follow signs to Camp Sherman and the Metolius River.
5. LITTLE DESCHUTES RIVER: Heading south from Bend on Highway 97, the first public access to the river is 30 miles south at Rosland Campground, 2 miles west of the highway on Route 43.
7. OCHOCO CREEK: Meanders through Prineville, heading west from Ochoco Reservoir.
8. MILL CREEK: Located 6 miles east of Prineville on Highway 26, near Ochoco Reservoir.
9. WHYCHUS CREEK: Flows north and south and through Sisters.
10. TROUT CREEK: Flows into the lower Deschutes River west of Willowdale.
11. ODELL CREEK: Access from Odell and Davis lakes.
Lakes
1. BIG LAVA LAKE: The turn into Lava Lake on Road 500 is at milepost 38, 16 miles south of Mount Bachelor on the Cascade Lakes Highway.
2. CRESCENT LAKE: Driving south on Highway 97, take the Highway 58 junction heading west. At the small community of Crescent Lake Junction, National Forest Route 60 heads southwest and reaches the lake in 2 miles.
3. CULTUS LAKE: Take the Sunriver exit off Highway 97, and continue for 22 miles to the Cascade Lakes Highway. Turn left (south) and follow for just over a mile to Road 4635 which takes you to the lake.
4. DAVIS LAKE: Driving south from Bend on Highway 97, take the Fall River exit. Follow for 26 miles to Cascade Lakes Highway junction. A left turn and 10-mile drive leads you to the entrance.
5. EAST LAKE: Travel 22 miles south of Bend on Highway 97, then 18 miles east on East Lake-Paulina Lake Road.
6. ELK LAKE: Located about 10 miles south of Mount Bachelor on the Cascade Lakes Highway.
7. HOSMER LAKE: Travel about 13 miles south of Mount Bachelor on the Cascade Lakes Highway.
Turn left onto paved Road 4625 at the East Elk Lake/Hosmer lake sign.
8. LITTLE LAVA LAKE: Follow the directions to Lava Lake, turning right before reaching the main lake.
9. NORTH TWIN LAKE: From Highway 97, take the Fall River (County Road 42) turn 3 miles south of Sunriver. Follow to the County Road 43 junction, and continue on this new road (Forest Route 4260) which leads you to Twin Lakes Resort.
10. ODELL LAKE: Follow directions to Crescent Lake Junction (see above), but continue on Highway 58 an additional 2 miles to Odell.
11. PAULINA LAKE: From Bend, drive south on Highway 97 about 22 miles, turning east on County Route 21 (East Lake-Paulina Lake Road).
12. SHEVLIN POND: Located in Shevlin Park west of Bend on Shevlin
Park Road.

14. SUTTLE LAKE: Take Highway 20 west of Sisters about 16 miles to the Suttle Lake sign. The entrance road to the resort is just to the west.
