For Central Oregonians, Tuesday marked the beginning of baseball season. More than 2,600 — a record crowd for any West Coast League game — came to Vince Genna Stadium to see the Bend Elks play their first home game of 2009. The Elks lost to Washington state’s Bellingham Bells 9-5. But it’s not over yet between the Elks and the Bells — they’re at it again today and Thursday at Genna Stadium.
