Bend’s St. Clair Place sells for $6.05M

A group of investors, including Peter Lowes of Lowes Commercial Properties Inc. of Bend, has purchased the St. Clair Place building in downtown Bend for $6.05 million, according to Deschutes County deed records. The group purchased the building, at the corner of Bond Street and Minnesota Avenue, from Desertscape 920 Bond LLC, which paid $6.2 million for it in April 2005, according to The Bulletin’s archives.

Lowes said he purchased the building to consolidate his commercial real estate business with a property-management company he recently started and a new residential real estate business he plans to launch Jan. 1. Current tenants will not be affected by the purchase, nor will ownership of the building’s two residential condos, Lowes said. Tenants include Pandora’s Backpack and the restaurant 28.

“We’ll be on site, and our whole staff loves the building,” Lowes said. “It’s one of the best properties downtown, and we’re looking forward to it.”
