Louis ‘Lou’ Spencer Lotgering

Louis “Lou” Spencer Lotgering, of La Pine, died Feb. 27. He was 67.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. April 6 at Cascade Bible Church in La Pine.

Mr. Lotgering was born March 5, 1940, in Tacoma, Wash., the son of William and Genevieve Lotgering.

Mr. Lotgering worked as a manufacturing engineer. He retired in 2003. He was affiliated with Cascade Bible Church in La Pine.

He enjoyed skiing, RVing, computers, hiking, biking and off-roading. He had been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gherig’s disease.

Survivors include his special companion, Sally Empey; two sons, Bill, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Guy, of Corona, Calif.; a daughter, Tracy Bratton, of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Tony Sereduck, of Tacoma, Wash., and Mark Sereduck; a sister, Mary Lay, of Fort Orchard, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, his parents and a sister.
