Kindergartners can learn about buses
Published: August 17. 2007 4:00AM PSTBend parents and kindergarten students can get a taste of what it’s like to ride the school bus today and Saturday.
The sessions are intended to make new riders in Bend-La Pine Schools feel more comfortable before they start their first day of school.
The sessions will take an hour and will include bus safety rules, a bus ride and a Winnie The Pooh video about riding the bus.
The sessions are today at 1 and 6 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m., noon and 2 and 4 p.m. The event will take place at the district’s bus garage, 501 S.E. Second St., in Bend. Contact: 383-6100.
