Catherine Ann Garland-Shenk, of Powell Butte, died Aug. 2. She was 92.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Powell Butte Cemetery.

Mrs. Shenk was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Paulene Pokorski. She married Wilbur Boetel in 1931 in Omaha. They later divorced. She married Robert Garland in 1947 in Portland. He died in 1960. She later married Harlan Shenk on May 25, 1990, in Bend.

Mrs. Shenk worked in Portland shipyards during World War II. She later worked loading gasoline onto tanker trucks. She also worked as a clerk for various offices and The Oregonian in Portland. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed golf.

Survivors include a daughter, Joani Schneider, of Powell Butte; a brother, Leo Pokorski; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands, a daughter and two brothers.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
