John Raymond Lawler, of Bend, died Jan. 4 of cardiac arrest. He was 65.
Private services will be held.
Mr. Lawler was born April 11, 1941, in Los Angeles to Maurice and Margaret Lawler. He graduated from high school in 1958. He was divorced.
Mr. Lawler worked in aviation maintenance for Air Research Corp. He retired in 1996. He had also worked as a general contractor in Bend for many years. He enjoyed camping, hunting with family and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed aviation and working on cars.
Survivors include two sons, John Richard, of Santa Rosa, Calif., and David, of Bend; a brother, Steven, of Bend; a sister, Deborah Leis, of Palm Desert, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son and his parents.
