Roger William Rouse, of Bend, died Nov. 28 following an accident. He was 53.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at New Hope Church in Bend.
Mr. Rouse was born April 22, 1953, in Inglewood, Calif., to Bill and Beverly (Johnston) Rouse. He earned an associate degree from Shasta College, in Redding, Calif. He married Kay Wyatt on May 10, 1975, in Santa Ana, Calif.
Mr. Rouse worked as an automotive mechanic for 24 years. For the last nine years, he worked as an equipment manager for Crosswater Golf Course. He was a member of New Hope Church. He enjoyed waterskiing, snowmobiling, restoring classic cars, camping, fishing, golf, mountain biking and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brian, of Bend, and Gregg, of Pleasanton, Calif.; his mother, of Redding, Calif.; three sisters, Cathy Henley, of Chico, Calif., Melanie Andrews, of Redondo Beach, Calif., and LaNelle Weerts, of Burbank, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
