Edward Alfred Hehn, of Prineville, died Tuesday after an extended illness. He was 80.

A private memorial service will be held.

Mr. Hehn was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Dickinson, N.D., to Jakob and Julianna Hehn. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1942 and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Montana in 1948. He married LaDonna Burda on Jan. 15, 1950.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Hehn worked as a sales manager for Consolidated Pine, Hudspeth Pine and Hudspeth Sales and Service before being promoted to general manager of Hudspeth Pine.

He was a lifetime member of the Prineville Golf and Country Club and was affiliated with the Prineville Elks.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Craig Hehn, of Prineville, and Jeff, of Bend; two daughters, Stephanie Cleveland, of Eugene, and Candis Clemens, of Bend; a brother, Jake, of Fort Collins, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Memorial Hospice or the Crook County Foundation's swim and activity center fund.

Whispering Pines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
