Sandra Jean (Raab) Cramer

Mrs. Sandra (Raab) Cramer of Bend died Saturday at St. Charles Medical Center. She was 58.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hollingshead Barn in Bend.
Mrs. Cramer was born Jan. 11, 1943, in West Orange, N.J., to William and Marian (Lindeman) Raab. She married Richard Cramer on Jan. 21, 1960 in Sprindale, N.J.
She moved to Bend in 1970.
Mrs. Cramer was a homemaker and preschool teacher.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, her family, the Internet and e-mailing.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Suzanne Lafky of Bend; her parents of Bend; two brothers, David Raab of New Providence, N.J., and William Raab of Livingston N.J.; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by two sons.

Carl Robert
Leo Markgraf

Carl Robert Leo Markgraf of Bend died Thursday. He was 88.
No service will be held.
Mr. Markgraf was born Dec. 6, 1912, in Ocean Beach, Calif. He married Evelyn Cjisholm in 1936 in San Diego.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for the San Diego Transit Corporation. He retired and moved to Bend in 1976.
Mr. Markgraf was a member of the La Jolla Chapter of The Eastern Star, Electrician's Union, California-Federation of Mineralogists, High Desert Gem and Mineral Society and I.O. Forester's. He enjoyed rock hounding, lapidary work, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his two nephews, Carl Creelman of Woodland Hills, Utah and Gary Gagyi of Costa Mesa, Calif.; and five nieces, Jean Shepherd of Woodland Hills, Luella Watrous of Gardenville, Nev., Sally Johnson of Brawly, Calif., Marylou Watson and Diane Smerdon, both of San Diego.
He was preceded in death by his wife.

Percy F. Moss
Jan. 6, 1921 — Oct. 28, 2001
Percy F. Moss of La Pine died Sunday of natural causes at St. Charles Medical Center. He was 80.
No service will be held at his request.
Mr. Moss was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Mano, Mo., to James and Grace Moss. He married June Hoskin on Oct. 26, 1946, in Stevenson, Wash.
He served in the Navy during World War II. He earned the American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal, European-African-Middle East Area Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart and World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Moss was honorably discharged at the rank of Electrician's Mate First Class on Dec. 15, 1945.
Mr. Moss worked for the United States Postal Service at the main branch in downtown Portland.
He and his wife were the first couple to retire from the downtown branch in 1972.
He enjoyed fishing the local lakes and rivers with his wife.
Survivors include his two sons, Johnnie of Bellevue, Wash., and Robert of Portland; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife.

Woodrow Franklin Mathely
Aug. 25, 1934 — Oct. 29, 2001
Woodrow Franklin Mathely of Bend died Monday of natural causes. He was 67.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bend Church of God.
Mr. Franklin was born Aug. 25, 1934, in Chattanooga, Tenn. He married Vinnie Smith on April 25, 1965, in Trentor, Ga.
He was a roofer.
Mr. Franklin was affiliated with the Bend Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; one son, Jerry Farabee of Bend; one brother, Roger Mathely of Visalia, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Norman Edward Wilber
Feb. 14, 1909 — Oct. 28, 2001
Norman Edward Wilber of Prineville died Sunday. He was 92.
A private service will be held for him.
Mr. Wilber was born Feb. 14, 1909, in Scholls. He married Una Loomis on July 28, 1930, in Vancouver, Wash.
He was a sawmill owner in Yamhill County. He moved to Bend in 1980 and Prineville in 1990.
Mr. Wilber was a master hunter. He enjoyed the outdoors, organic gardening, flowers, fishing and smoking and curing meats.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; two sons, Jim of Prineville and Keith of Kennewick, Wash.; one daughter, Donna Sauerbrey of Prineville; one sister, Edna Hoskins of Cave Junction; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association or Pioneer Memorial Hospice.
