Lily Raff McCaulou writes for The Bulletin from Portland. She has a degree in film studies from Wesleyan University, and she worked in New York City's independent film industry before moving to Bend and joining The Bulletin's staff in 2004. She is the author of a memoir, "Call of the Mild: Learning to Hunt My Own Dinner" (Grand Central Publishing, 2012), which was named one of the best books of 2012 by the San Francisco Chronicle.
