Shelby R. King (Public safety reporter)

Shelby King joined The Bulletin in March of 2012 as the county government reporter and is now the public safety reporter. Previously King spent two years as a reporter, photographer and video producer at the Klamath Falls Herald and News, covering public safety/cops, health care, tribes and breaking news. Prior to that, King spent ten years alternately working on her degree at the University of Oregon — where she double majored in journalism and English literature — and waiting tables/bartending in Eugene. King is a native Oregonian and grew up in Agness (a tiny town on the Rogue River) and Roseburg. She lives with her son and her Aussie/German Shepherd mix, Pinta in Bend.
